Coleman Wong has enjoyed his best season on tour so far with a number of notable achievements. He became the first male player from Hong Kong, China, to reach the singles third round of a Grand Slam tournament when he ventured into the last 32 at the US Open, losing in five sets to Andrey Rublev. He also made the third round of the Miami Open, a Masters 1000 event, beating Ben Shelton along the way, and reached the semifinals of the 15th China National Games, losing to Wu Yibing.
Wong made his ATP Tour debut in Hong Kong in January 2024, and reached two finals and four semi-finals on the ATP Challenger Tour over the course of the season. He achieved his career-high ATP No. 128 by the end of September, making him the highest-ever ranked player to come out of Hong Kong.
